Following Switzerland’s implementation of the recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), you had until April 30, 2021 to comply with the law by converting your bearer shares into registered shares.<\/p>

If you have not converted your bearer shares by May 1, 2021, you risk losing your dividend and voting rights.<\/p>

It is therefore essential that you take the necessary steps now to comply with the law by converting your bearer shares into registered shares.<\/p>

Steps you can take as a shareholder now<\/h3>


If you have not declared your status as a shareholder by May 1, 2021, you will need to register your status as a shareholder in the company’s share register. There are 3 steps to this: <\/p>

  • file a petition with the competent court<\/li>
  • obtain the agreement of the limited company<\/li>
  • provide proof of your status as a shareholder<\/li><\/ul>
